Job DescriptionMazars, a leading international Audit, Tax and Advisory services firm is currently hiring. We are looking for a well organised, driven Copy Editor to be responsible for writing copy for all media publications of Mazars and play a strong role in maintaining the organisation’s reputation and ensure that our brand portrays our culture, values and services correctly. The ideal candidate should be highly organised, dead line driven and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Duties & Responsibilities•Conduct an in depth analysis of our external environment and ensure an understanding of the Mazars business operating environment
• Interview stakeholders and write business articles
• Write articles / adverts / blurbs on various platforms (media houses, PR Agencies and radio stations)
• Assist with the development of internal statistics and the publications thereof in any format
•Internal communications support
•Assist in developing business proposals for prospective clients as and when they arise
•Enhance Mazars external market presence in order to drive growth
•Develop contracts across a range of industries
•Provide communications and marketing support to our African Offices
•Provide thought leadership for all business channels in Mazars
•Effectively create and deliver presentations
•Interfaces with other department leads to share ideas and to identify new solutions / opportunities to departments
•Assist in training, mentoring and developing team members
Minimum Requirements•A Bachelor’s degree will be an advantage
•An Accounting and/or Journalism degree will be an advantage
•At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role or in a business reporting role at a newspaper or in any similar industry
•Highly proficient in MS Office
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to build excellent networks and contacts within the market
•High level of quality and detail focus
•A strong work ethic and ability to work well within teams
•Understanding business, finance, tax and financial markets
